Frequently asked questions
What are your prices?
There are many variables that go into what your stationery will cost but the average client spends between $8-$12 per invitation suite. Save the dates are $3-$5 each on average. This cost does not include postage.
When should I send out save the dates and wedding invitations?
Although the last couple years has adjusted timeline norms, traditionally the Save the dates should go out 6 to 9 months before the wedding and invitations should be sent 2 months before with the RSVP date set for 1 month before the wedding (this allows you time to track down those that don't RSVP). Exceptions to this recommendation are if you are having a destination wedding, a wedding in June, or on a holiday weekend, then I recommend sending the save the dates as soon as you have a date and venue booked. You want to get on your guest's calendars as soon as possible.
Do you do events other than weddings?
Absolutely! I have designed birthday party invitations, bridal shower invitations, baby shower invitations, graduation announcements and much more. Just contact me with your needs and we can discuss options. I love creating coordinating stationery pieces for all of your guest touch points.
What does the process look like?
It all starts with getting an idea of your vision and what you are looking for. No detail is too small. I want to know everything. Gathering information at the beginning our of process means I have a better understanding of you and your needs. After contract and initial payment (50% down), I begin working up design ideas and variations. I am a visual person and it helps the collaboration between you and I to see what you like and what you don't side by side. I make changes (3 rounds of changes is included) and when it is perfect, I send it off to print. The process can take up to 8-10 weeks depending on products and where they are being sourced and produced. On average our clients receive their items in about 6 weeks, and rush items are available for a surcharge.
When should I place my order?
Each invitation suite is crafted by hand from myself and other vendor partners.
Typically you should allow 3-4 weeks for save the dates and 8-10 weeks for invitations. This timeline could be extended depending on design, elements, and assembly. For wedding day stationery items those should be ordered 1-2 months before the wedding.
Will I get to see a proof?
Yes! All orders include electronic proofs. Your order will move into production once you approve the digital proof.
How many invitations should I order?
The best way to determine how many save the dates, invitations, and thank you notes you need is to count the number of addresses you will be mailing to. You may also want to order extras of each for keepsakes, photography and for last minute guests. You will receive the QTY you order.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! You may make payments on your order or pay in full. 50% of total is required before a proof is sent for your approval, production will begin when 100% is received and items mailed or delivered as soon as they are ready.
Do you offer samples?
Yes! Use the contact form to ask for a sample set and give me your address. I will mail you a FREE sample set to determine paper colors, print treatment and thickness of papers.
I need an invitation in a language other than English, can you do that?
Absolutely! I can do bilingual invitations or you can order a set in another language. While I do not speak a language other than English, you can send me the wording needed and I can use that on your stationery.
Do you have a minimum order requirement?
Yes, the minimum order is 25. But then you can order any quantity over 25. It is my philosophy that you can order the exact number you are needing. No need to order 75 when you only need 52. This is why I have a flat fee for all items. Clear pricing so there are no surprises.
